Phishing is the criminally fraudulent process of attempting to acquire sensitive information such as user names, passwords and credit card details by masquerading as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. Phishing is typically done by e-mail or instant messaging. It often peruses users to enter details at a fake website whose URL looks and feel almost identical to the legitimate one. Not all phishing attacks require a fake website. there are such things as phone phishing which would for example peruse you to dial your PIN number thinking it was the bank you were sending it to. To prevent phishing you would need to not give out you passwords or important information. Don’t give out importunate information over messages.

A worm is an application that replicates itself without user intervention and moves the copies from computer to computer. Worms are especially dangerous to networked PCs because they can quickly spread. Unlike the Virus the worm does not have to wait TO BE SENT, it sends itself. You can get a worm by opening attachments on emails, instant messaging, or opening files that you are not sure about. To prevent a worm don’t accept downloads that you don’t know of and don’t know were they came from or who they came from. if you DON’T HAVE to open an email attachment, for example you don’t think the person would send it to you or if you didn’t ask the sender to send it to you, DON’T OPEN IT. If you are sending an email with attachments tell the person before you do so they know it is safe to open.

A trojan horse is a program that appears to be legitimate, but in fact does something bad. Quite often, that something bad involves gaining remote access to a user’s system. Unlike viruses, a Trojan does not infect other files, nor does it make copies of itself as worms do. A trojan horse can be released by an email attachment, or by any other attachments The trojan horse will not score your hard drive for personal details. Instead the key logging function often comes into play – capturing the user’s keystrokes as they type and sends the logs to the attackers providing them with: passwords, credit card numbers, and other things you commonly type that’s important. Once you have a trojan horse you should scan your computer with an anti-virus program to find it. You should disconnect from your internet so the trojan horse has no way of communication, and once once you find it kill it. To prevent a trojan horse don’t download anything from a site you don’t know 100%. be sure you know what you are downloading even if it’s from a friend.

A virus is a computer program that can copy itself and infect a computer with out permission or knowledge of that computer’s owner. Files that can be downloaded that have the extensions .pif, .exe, .com, .vbs, .bat, .bin, .dot, .reg, .js, .scr, .xlm and .dll. A computer gets a virus by somebody manually spreading the virus meaning someone has to ether go to a computer and plant it, or by sending it to the computer over the internet,it cannot spread itself. For example someone might send you a file and it could be a virus and you would not know, or someone could use your computer and they might have a virus on their flash drive, and say it was on a picture you wanted, so they put the picture on your computer and voila, now you have the virus too. Once you get a virus on your computer you can stop it by having a good anti-virus program, and just a little tip, the ones you download from the internet are not all that good. Also do not go to sites that people send you that you are not sure of. You can prevent the virus from infecting your computer and it is not that hard. you can: put an anti-virus software on your computer, try to pay attention to the extensions or all you downloads, make sure you know where everything you are downloading is coming from, and run your anti-virus regularly.

A group called Cross roads came to SSIS and put together an activity that touched me in a way that i think only people who have actually lived in Africa for more than a year would feel, but even if you haven’t lived there this group still put thought, feeling, and sympathy in everyone’s hearts. Living in Africa i was able to see things (poverty) get terrible, and you do get the thought of not being able to help ‘ALL’ the people. There are so many people just in Africa that need help, and when you think of the whole world you might just get a feeling of imposibleness.

David, a speaker from Cross Roads was the person who showed me that it is not impossible. It’s just that you have to take things one by one. Even if you don’t have tons of money to be helping other people with you can still help. It’s not about the money, it is about all the small things that add up. If every person in the world gave just one dollar we would have 6,700,000,000 dollars. 6.7 BILLION DOLLARS!!!! All you need is to believe you can help the people, and get people who believe with you. Like i was saying before i was in Africa. I lived there for three years, and in those three years i saw so many people in starvation, begging, selling peanuts, and kids playing. There are little kids begging for even the smallest amount of money, and just to give it to their ‘father’, the man who gives them shelter, water, food, and nothing extra. There are little kids and women on the street putting peanut by peanut in an empty bottle. I saw kids playing with balls with no air, rocks, paper, and so many other things, and they are having fun with that. They don’t have to have anything special, unlike THE MAJORITY of the people living with a ’suitable’ income. ‘We’ have taken things for granted. We don’t realize how good our lives are until we have an event like ‘A Walk In The World’s Shoes, or see it for ourselves. We can ALL help, no matter what age!!

I have always thought of doing something like cross roads, and after David spoke to us all it makes me want to do it even more. I mean the smallest things can help, so why don’t we all start helping all those in need. Again if everyone in the world ONLY donated 1 DOLLAR we would have 6.7 BILLION in total. This could do SO MUCH for those in need. So next time your buying a new pair of shoes, a soccer ball, new clothes, or anything you DON’T HAVE to HAVE, but WANT…just think of how lucky you are. Donate anything you think would help.

I healed some spots I didn’t want there anymore with the healing brush on Photoshop

I added a plain colored background (black)

I added some color to my background (some squiggly lines and dots : ] )

Then came up with my final background (its fab)

Then I created a background and head shot, so I could cut out the left and right parts of my face. By doing that I was then able to create my puzzle pieces.

I created my puzzle pieces by using the lasso tool and cutting out pieces and changing the colors so I can make a difference in all of them.

I then found pictures that describe me in different ways.

Finally I pasted the pictures into the different puzzle pieces and then I blurred my picture a bit to give it a bit of funkiness. : D
